Daymark

Carrier records in your AI tools

Check a freight carrier's public records and related companies before you book — every fact linked to its federal source.

Daymark adds vet_carrier to your AI tools. Ask it to check a USDOT number and review the linked federal records. Shared details are leads to review, not proof of ownership or wrongdoing.

Before you start

Install uv and Python 3.10 or newer. Get your private key from your Daymark account. Replace YOUR_DAYMARK_API_KEY below with your key. Keep the key private.

These custom installs need no directory approval. They work once the Daymark package is published on PyPI and the API is live.

Claude Desktop

Open Settings → Developer → Edit Config. Merge this entry into claude_desktop_config.json, save, and restart Claude Desktop.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "daymark": {
      "command": "uvx",
      "args": [
        "daymark-mcp==1.0.0"
      ],
      "env": {
        "DAYMARK_API_KEY": "YOUR_DAYMARK_API_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

Cursor

Open Cursor Settings → Tools & MCP → New MCP Server. Add this to your global ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or project .cursor/mcp.json), keeping any existing servers. Keep files containing your key out of shared projects.

If the app cannot find uvx, use its full path in command. You can also run pipx install daymark-mcp==1.0.0, then use the full path to daymark-mcp as the command and an empty args list.

Try a lookup

Ask: “Use Daymark to check USDOT 3862639 and show the sources.” Each vet_carrier or carrier_history call uses one live API call. usage_summary does not consume allowance. API errors, including a reached limit, appear in the tool result.

Free calls and pricing

A sandbox key includes 50 free calls per month, with no card. When those calls run out, the tool returns a limit message until the monthly reset or you choose a paid plan. You are not charged automatically.

Free is $0 for 10 lookups per month. See pricing and plan limits.

History and account analytics

Use carrier_history with usdot and optional limit/offset for evidence events. Missing history means unknown. Use usage_summary with {} for account usage, unchanged from GET /v1/analytics/usage. Account lookup history and watchlist analytics are also available over REST. Lists use limit/offset and return total; default limit 100, maximum 200. Errors include code, message and request_id; HTTP responses carry X-Daymark-Request.

Launch pricing — $19/mo for your first 12 months, then $49.
