How it works

From a number to the records.

Built first for freight brokers.
Source dates and coverage limits apply.

Enter a USDOT number

Look up registration, authority records and insurance filings from public U.S. Department of Transportation datasets.

Review the evidence

Open the source links and check publication dates. Missing fields stay unknown.

Follow the connections

Review companies sharing public-record identifiers. Shared details are leads to review, not proof of ownership or wrongdoing.

The evidence comes with it

Read the record.
Know its limits.

Sources can lag or fail, and a blank result does not establish a clean record.

Insurance filings are not a coverage determination, and historical authority actions are not current status.

Watchlist

Watch the carriers you already use

  • Checked nightly against the latest federal records. Publication delays and gaps may exist.
  • A “what changed” view per carrier — new value next to old, with the source. Retained raw rows need review; blanks do not establish removals.
  • Quiet by default — no alert noise. Review published records in your account.

Developers

API-first, MCP included

REST API + webhooks

Look up by USDOT through the REST API. Outbound watchlist webhooks are not available; review changes through the API or account.

MCP server

Use the vet_carrier tool for the core profile and evidence. History and relationships load through separate calls.

Sandbox with sample carriers

Try the synthetic sandbox without a test key. Live evaluation uses your account API key and monthly allowance.

A few useful answers.

Read all FAQs ↗
Why might a carrier or relationship be missing?

A USDOT number may be absent from the published census data, or a source may be delayed or unavailable. Missing data is not a verdict about the carrier.

Does a shared identifier prove a relationship?

Phones can be reassigned, addresses can be shared offices or homes, and officers can share names. A match does not prove that two carriers operated together or that their connection is current.

How do I dispute a fact?

Use the correction form. Reports await human review and never automatically change source facts.

Who uses it

Built first for freight brokers.

The same evidence record can help factoring companies check a carrier before buying its invoices, shippers vet carriers they hire directly, and insurance agents verify a carrier’s filings. Source dates and coverage limits apply.
